FIFTY TWO STUDENTS MEET THE CHALLENGE.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Congratulations to the 52 Beaumaris students who completed the 2013 Premiers’ Reading Challenge. Students in Years 7,8,9 and 10 read at least 15 books to meet the requirements of the Challenge. Students frequently recommended books to each other and read widely, often choosing a genre they had not attempted previously. Celebrations were held in the Library where students were presented with their certificates and then enjoyed a morning tea.

Celebrating Year 10s at Sandringham 7-10

With exams over, we celebrated the milestone of our Year 10s’ completing their junior studies and moving on to Senior pathways with a school assembly and parent morning tea. Our School Captains, Cam and Jaimee, gave a heartfelt and inspirational speech, and some of our talented vocalists and musicians performed. We were very proud of our Year 10s’ achievements, and of the care and maturity they displayed today. We also enjoyed watching their reactions as they opened the time capsules they’d made at the end of Year 7!
