This term, Sandringham 7-10 Year 8 students have taken on the challenge of ‘The Quest’. The project, which is completed as part of their English course, asks them to choose a personal challenge which they work on over a seven-week period. They keep a diary of their progress, and write a reflective report on completion. We celebrated the Questers’ achievements yesterday, admiring the diverse range projects. These included: constructing a giant catapult, longboards and a skimboard; learning to cook various cuisines; creating paintings, clothing, bags, fashion labels and jewellery; writing novellas and comic books; writing and recording songs; starting a graphic design business and making movies. The Year 8s were all proud of their own and others’ success, and we awarded a record number of ‘High Distinctions’ for outstanding work.
