The Year 7 and 8 Speech Competitions at Sandringham 7-10 were hotly contested events, with high quality entrants making judging very difficult! There were 12 speakers at each year level, presenting speeches on topics ranging from world poverty to equality to peer pressure. Congratulations to all participants, and thank you to our expert Year 9 judges, Ben, Kelly and Estelle. Special mention to our winners: Jordyn N of Year 8, whose topic was Racism, and Brendan R. of Year 7, who presented a thoughtful interpretation of ‘A Perfect World’. We look forward to seeing more from our contestants when Junior Debating training starts next term. Thanks to Ms Holmes for organising the events.
