Sandringham College’s Japanese sister school Nihon Fukushi annually visits the Senior campus with a group of 16-17 year old students for a two week English immersion program. This year the program will be held in Term 3 (29th July – 11th August 2012). Students will visit Victorian landmarks and intensively study English inside and outside the classroom.

We are seeking host families to care for these eight students during their Australian visit. Host families with an interest in culture and young people need no prior experience and can be two parents, single parents, older parents, with or without children of their own. Families with children studying Japanese may especially benefit from this invaluable opportunity to develop their own second language.

Families will be compensated by a weekly payment of $240 to cover the students living expenses and will need to provide a bedroom for the student’s sole use, three meals per day, assistance travelling to/from school and a welcoming and caring home.

If you are interested in the program, please call Kerry – International Homestay Co-Ordinator to enquire further. Senior campus 8599 0521.
